Mavim Manager

Enhanced Control for Relationship List Fields with Relationship Category

The properties of the Field type: Relationship List have been extended with the addition of Relationship Category. This allows you to change the default Relationship Category “With What” to, for example, “Who” or “Why.”

This is relevant if you are involved in setting up frameworks with Fieldsets and Fields for others to capture metadata on topics.

This specific Field type is often used to provide users with a predefined list of options while still capturing relationships. This enriches the metadata with links between topics, and the topics you offer for selection in the field are visually distinct through their topic icons.

See this example where a Relationship List field is used:

The relationship type becomes particularly relevant when you have many relationships between topics and want to distinguish which ones to “fish out,” for instance, in reporting.

With this change, you have more control over how easily you can create overviews of your topic metadata and relationships.

IMPORTANT: If you are currently using a Relationship List field for critical metadata, do not change the field’s relationship category. Doing so will cause the data currently captured in the field to be lost.

If you must change an existing field, ensure you have a backup of the data so you can recapture the values after modifying the relationship category.

Mavim Portal

Improved Feature: Default Pan/Zoom for Charts

“Navigate your processes effortlessly—zoom, pan, and explore every chart, by default.”

We have made chart navigation in Mavim even smoother! Users can now enjoy pan/zoom functionality by default, across all charts.

Key Details:

  • Where to find it: Portal Admin → General Tab → Default chart zoom orientation dropdown
  • How it works:
    • Previously, end-users could enable pan/zoom per chart by selecting the hand icon.
    • Now, Portal Administrators can set pan/zoom as the default, all users automatically get this functionality on every chart.
    • Mouse controls:
      • Zoom in/out using your mouse wheel
      • Pan/move through the chart by holding the right mouse button and dragging
  • Best use case: Works particularly well with large and complex landscape-oriented charts, where the width is greater than the height, providing a more intuitive view of wide processes.

This improvement simplifies navigation for your teams and ensures that everyone can interact with process diagrams efficiently, without extra clicks or settings.
