BACKUP & RESTORE

A backup of the Mavim Online environment is made every 4 hours daily (04:00, 08:00, 12:00, 16:00, 20:00, 0:00 CET). Every backup will be retained for 29 days. Another backup is made every week on Sunday, which is then stored for 9 weeks and the backup made on the first Sunday of the month is retained for 13 months.

The database has a log file that is backed up every 5 minutes. The log file can be used to determine which backup should be restored. Log file backups are retained for 30 days. Log data for Application Insights is stored in Log Analytics workspaces and stored 90 days. Mavim uses an Azure

Sensor Pack and PRTG for proactive monitoring.

Data deletion in Azure is according to NIST SP 800-88 R1 “Guidelines for Media Sanitization”

Note: backups are encrypted at-rest and in-transit using AES-256. Backups are securely disposed using the Microsoft Azure standards.
